Note:
Time permitting, each class is going to consist of:
1. Checking homework
2. (Presentation)
3. grammar practice
4. listening comprehension practice
5. reading and discussion
6. evaluation

The order may differ.

- This is not a lecture, which means you should come to the class prepared to analyse and discuss with your fellow classmates.
- The teacher is not a free automatic translation tool, which means that you are not allowed to ask the teacher to translate from your mother tongue. If you have forgotten a word or do not know it altogether you need to look it up by yourself! You are allowed to bring pocket dictionaries to the class but you mustn’t use them while having tests.
- You can be unprepared twice every semestre (the only exception is when we are having a test that has been announced in advance)

Evaluation:
Your evaluation will be based on the average of your marks. Each mark will be given a different grade though (grade point average – średnia ważona):
1. Presentation* x 2
2. Vocab and grammar tests x 2
3. Writing assignment x 2
4. Your active participation in the class x1
5. Short tests x 1
6. Homework x 1
7. Something stunning x2

Late work will be lowered in grade ten percent (10%) for each day late. It is not my practice to give extra work to make up for regular assignments not completed or done poorly. On the final semester grade the instructor reserves the right to raise grades that are within the next grade level. Student characteristics of cooperation, attendance, and participation in class will be taken into account in such decisions.
